This stainless steel dual mass dynamic cone penetrometer kit measures the shear strength of soil with a CBR value between 0.5 and 100. It is manufactured in the USA by Salem Tool Company. This tool is a real workhorse that is built to last. It comes with a 37.75" drive rod for a test depth of 36". It also comes with 25 disposable cone tips and a disposable cone tip adaptor for easy extraction, with much less user fatigue while performing the test in hard soils.

Which kit do I need?

8 kg Single Mass Kit, $1,598. One 8 kg hammer mass, for firm to hard soils (CBR 10 to 100).

Dual Mass Kit, $2,035. 8 kg and 4.6 kg hammer masses, for soft to hard soils (CBR 0.5 to 100).

Dual Mass Deluxe Kit, $2,850. The dual mass kit plus 75 more disposable tips, five more hardened tips, a second tip adaptor, a 12" drive rod, and three 24" extensions.

All three use the quick connect drive rod, test to 36", and ship in a Pelican case with the vertical scale, guides, and wrenches.
